Homeschool Series
36 week – 1 Credit Hour
This is a one credit hour homeschool course which begins in the fall each year. Each weekly lesson and listening assignment will be released on Sunday evenings.
Each week, students will have access to a video lecture discussing the historical and cultural context of popular music of various eras throughout music history. Our instructors will present musical examples and discuss prominent or impactful composers of the period. An instructor will be available to answer any questions when needed.
How the course is graded…
Each week there will be a video lecture with an attached graded brief quiz. There will be listening assignments weekly that tests the student’s comprehension of music genres and more. In addition to this, written assignments will be conducted that may isolate a particular composer or musical style.

About the instructor
Keith Sullivan is the owner of Musicosophy as well as an instructor for the site. He holds a Master of Music Degree from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Music Theory and a Bachelor of Music from The University of Southern Mississippi where he received a voice scholarship and studied classical guitar and theory. Keith has four arrangements published by the reputable Italian music publisher, Berben Inc., and has many self published books – most available on our store. His recordings have been played on NPR and nationally on Coast to Coast among others.
